National Forest Income - Idaho
In 1996, the ICIE published a chart showing the impacts of management decisions on income to Idaho national forests. Here, the ICIE has updated those figures with those of the last two years. A close examination will show that, as income form logging and other uses has fallen dramatically, income from recreation has slumped as well. This has severely reduced the revenue available to do the work necessary to improve forest health.
